We were delighted to sponsor the U16 Ladies Gaelic Football team from Co. Roscommon through supporting one of their players, Clodagh Daly.  As part of Transition Year in school, Clodagh had to complete an enterprise project.  Along with her 3 friends, they came up with the idea of Pocket Socks for GAA players to mind their gumshields in a clean, safe way when they weren’t being used.

It is an excellent way to store gumshields during warm ups, half time and after the game.  It is more hygienic and also saves on the cost of buying new gumshields.

Clodagh and her friends came first in the Leitrim enterprise competition and also travelled to Croke Park to take part in the National finals.

When Clodagh contacted Arigna Group asking if we would be willing to sponsor socks for her county team, we didn’t need to think twice. Not only were we able to assist with part of their football gear for their season, but we were also encouraging entrepreneurship and creativity within next generation.
